From Concept to Production

Precision Tooling for Global Brands

STEP 01

Drawings, Samples & Requirements Assessment

Every mold starts with a thorough technical review. Our engineering team analyzes 2D/3D drawings, physical samples, and target specifications to validate feasibility -- identifying parting lines, draft angles, shrinkage factors, and gate locations before any tooling begins.

  • DFM (Design for Manufacturing) review within 48 hours
  • Material compatibility & hardness (Shore A) consultation
  • Signed NDA & confidential IP handling

STEP 02

Mold Material & Processing Selection

We select premium tooling steel and processing methods based on your product's expected lifecycle, cycle time, and precision class.

Standard Grade

P20 / 718H Steel

Pre-hardened mold steel for medium-run production (200,000-500,000 shots). Ideal balance of cost and durability.

Premium Grade

S136 / NAK80

High-polish stainless tooling steel for transparent silicone, long production life, and corrosion resistance.

High-End

H13 / Beryllium Copper

For LSR injection, complex geometry, and high-cycle production exceeding 1M shots with superior heat transfer.

STEP 03

CNC & Precision Machining

Our in-house tool room runs multi-axis CNC machining centers, high-precision EDM, and wire-cutting equipment -- all operated by technicians averaging 10+ years of experience. Every mold cavity is machined to repeatable sub-millimeter accuracy.

01

Rough Milling

Bulk material removal with optimized toolpaths.

02

Finish Machining

High-speed cutters for cavity and core surfaces.

03

EDM & Polishing

Fine detailing, texturing, and mirror finishes.

STEP 04

Mold Assembly & Internal Inspection

After machining, every component -- cavity, core, ejector pins, runners, and cooling channels -- is dimensionally verified before assembly. Our QA engineers perform fit checks, surface analysis, and movement tests to guarantee tooling integrity.

CMM Verification

Coordinate measurement of every critical dimension.

Fit & Movement

Smooth action of slides, lifters & ejection system.

Cooling Test

Water channel flow and leak verification.

Surface Finish

Visual + microscope polish inspection.

STEP 05

First Trial (T1) & Sample Evaluation

The mold is loaded onto a production-grade silicone injection press to produce the first run of samples (T1). Each sample is evaluated against your drawing, functional requirements, and aesthetic standards.

T1

Pilot Shot

Initial injection parameters tuned for cure time & pressure.

T2

Dimensional Check

Full CMM & gauge inspection against drawing tolerances.

T3

Functional Test

Tensile, tear, aging, hardness verification per use case.

T4

Client Review

Samples shipped for your approval or feedback round.

STEP 06

Dimensional, Appearance & Functional Corrections

If any sample deviates from specification, our tooling team performs targeted mold modifications -- adjusting cavities, gates, textures, or venting without compromising the overall tool structure.

Mold correction and tuning

Dimensional Fine-Tuning

Cavity re-machining or shrinkage compensation to hit exact tolerances within ±0.1mm.

Appearance Correction

Flash removal, parting line refinement, surface polishing, and texture (VDI/MT) matching.

Functional Optimization

Adjust gate position, venting, and cooling channels to improve part consistency and cycle time.

Revision Report (T2/T3)

Full documentation of each revision cycle, with updated samples sent for approval.

STEP 07

Mass Production Launch & Mold Acceptance

Once the sample is approved and the mold is signed off, we transition into pilot production. A documented mold acceptance report (MAR) with final sample retention, inspection records, and cycle data is issued to the client.

STEP 08

Mold Numbering, IP Rights & Secure Storage

Your mold is your asset. We register, protect, and preserve every tool under strict ownership and maintenance protocols.

Unique Mold ID

Each mold is laser-engraved with a traceable serial number -- client code, project ID, production year, and cavity count.

IP Ownership Protection

NDA-protected design files, dedicated tooling, and full IP transfer rights after mold payment -- 100% confidential.

Climate-Controlled Storage

Molds stored in dehumidified racks with scheduled anti-rust treatment and quarterly maintenance checks.
