Material & Appearance Limitations
Rapid sampling trades some fidelity for speed. Please note the following before setting expectations.
Color Accuracy
Rapid samples typically achieve ΔE ≤ 3 color matching. Exact Pantone matches require mass-production tooling and dedicated color pre-mix.
Surface Finish
Soft-tooled samples may show minor parting lines or flashing. Final texture (matte, glossy, pattern) requires production-grade mold polishing.
Hardness Range
Shore A 20-80 supported. Extreme hardness (below 10A or above 85A) may require special material sourcing and extended lead time.
Dimensional Tolerance
Rapid samples hold ±0.2mm vs. production ±0.1mm. Critical mating dimensions should be flagged for tighter inspection.
Post-Processing
Silk-screen, UV coating, and adhesive backing are available on request but may extend lead time by 2-3 days.
Certification
Rapid samples use food-grade silicone but do not include per-batch certification reports. Full FDA/LFGB docs are issued during mass production.
